Villa Montessori Leesburg Uses Electrostatic Sprayer to Neutralize Germs and Keep Staff and Children Safe
At Villa Montessori Leesburg, educating children using the unique, hands-on methods pioneered by our founder, Maria Montessori is our specialty. And providing this nurturing, immersive environment, while also keeping our students and faculty healthy and safe, is top priority.
Even before COVID-19, our school engaged in an aggressive daily cleaning policy using hospital-grade disinfectant that is proven to kill the Coronavirus. With enhanced cleaning protocols now in place because of the pandemic, VMSR has added yet another tool to our daily cleaning regimen: an electrostatic sprayer that is food and child-safe!
While students are outside playing, trained staff members utilize the electrostatic sprayer to fog and disinfect each classroom – including all cots, toys and cloth items – several times each day. This cutting-edge, battery-powered sprayer contains a solution with no harmful chemicals and provides a more efficient way to disinfect and sanitize our school. The sprayer technology creates an electrostatic force field so powerful that it completely coats hidden and hard to reach surfaces, killing 99.9% of viruses in four minutes or less.
Incorporating this technology into our already robust daily screening and cleaning protocols should give parents and staff members great peace of mind as the pandemic wears on and cold and flu season approaches. So far, our school has experienced no cases of COVID-19 – and we are hopeful that this cutting-edge tool will continue to help us keep our students and staff members safe.
